Snapchat Plus subscription without ads
Jonah Manzano, an Australian artist, shared a post on Threads (via The Verge ) introducing a new ad-free subscription plan priced at AUD 15.99 monthly. Now let’s assume that some Snapchat Plus subscribers will be asked to pay more for the ad-free version. It has been reported that Snapchat is testing an ad-free subscription plan, but a few months ago, Android Police also announced that the feature was available to users in Norway. The new subscription plan removes ads from Story and Lens ads, but they may see some sponsored ads.
As of now, the ad-free Snapchat Plus subscription plan is not available in other major regions such as the US or Canada. However, it seems that getting a Snapchat Plus subscription, which costs AUD 5.99, is not enough to avoid ads from the platform. They may need to invest in a separate ad-free subscription plan to eliminate viewing ads. However, there is no official information about it yet.
Other platforms like YouTube or X already charge users for an ad-free experience, and now Snapchat may be moving in the same direction. However, it has not been confirmed when Snapchat will make the feature available globally, so it is believed to be still in testing.
